Changing the Way You Write Your Ads and Promotions for Better Results
Imagine having a complete marketing system that made money every time you used it, running a print advertisement that gets people streaming through your doors, or a Yellow Page ad that has your phone ringing off the hook.
Hit and miss advertising just won’t cut it for most business owners. Here are four of the most common mistakes that business owners make in advertising:
Using your company name in the headline of your ad (i.e. Joe’s Plumbing).
Not using the word YOU or some form of the word YOU
Not opening a loop. A recent example for my client, a home security company: "Here’s what the experts are saying about keeping your family safe in troubled times."
Not including a Call to Action. You MUST tell them what steps to take next (i.e. Call NOW… or Bring coupon to retail outlet – offer expires February 15th)
Now get out there and set up a system for testing and measuring the results you get from each ad, promotion, and even each sales person.
